Nigel Matthew Ltd is a painting contractor, established in July 1987. We are based in Berkshire, carrying out contracts in London and the South of England. With years of experience, we pride ourselves on our quality of service as well as our ability to serve any project large or small. Our workforce is 100% CSCS carded and we pride ourselves in meeting program deadlines.
When we started over 30 years ago our main source of work was redecoration work for councils and housing associations and although we still carry out these contracts, by far our largest activity now, is the New Work sector. We are regularly working for all the major national house builders such as Berkeley Homes, St Edward, Taylor Wimpey, St James, McCathy & Stone and George Downing Construction.
The Nigel Matthew Ltd name is made up of the middle names of the two brothers who own the company, Martin Nigel Hayes and Robert Matthew Hayes. From young ages both Martin and Rob wanted to work in this sector, as they had watched their father Colin enjoying great success in the industry (Colin was MD of national painting contractor HAT Painting PLC for 25 years, prior to retiring at the age of 50), but neither of them were prepared to take the easy option and work for HAT and that’s how Nigel Matthew Ltd came to be born.
Our company is run under tight financial controls which has enabled us to continue trading, with success, in challenging times.
